Daystreak Countdown ("we", "us", or "our") is a personal countdown and event tracking app. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting information related to your use of the Daystreak Countdown mobile application (the "App"). a. Information you provide
When you use the App, you may choose to enter or create content, including:
- Countdown events (titles, dates, repeat rules, reminders)
- Notes or descriptions you add to events
- Optional media such as background images (if you enable the feature)
- Tags, preferences, and language settings
b. Permissions you control
The App may request access to device features if you enable them:
- Notifications, to schedule reminders you configure
- Photos, to let you select background images
- Calendar, if you choose to import or export countdowns
You can enable or disable these permissions in your device settings at any time.
c. Automatically collected information
When you open or use the App, we may automatically collect limited technical information, such as:
- Device information (device model, operating system version)
- App version and settings
- Crash data and diagnostic logs (to improve stability)
d. Analytics and advertising data
We may use third-party services (for example, Google AdMob for ads, and analytics providers) that collect information about your device and usage to show relevant ads or to understand how the App is used. These third parties may use cookies, mobile identifiers, or similar technologies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain core features (create countdowns, calculate time remaining, schedule reminders)
- Store your preferences and app settings
- Improve and optimize the App, including fixing bugs and analyzing usage patterns

3. Data Storage and Sync
Countdown data is stored locally on your device. If you enable cloud backup or sync (for example, iCloud on iOS), your data may also be stored with that provider according to its terms.
We recommend that you keep your device secure and make backups regularly.

We do not sell your personal data.
We may share limited information in the following cases:
- Service providers: With third-party vendors that help us deliver the App (hosting, analytics, ads). They only get what they need.
- Legal requirements: If we are required to do so by law, subpoena, or court order.
- Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or similar, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Advertising
The App may display ads from third-party ad networks such as Google AdMob. These networks may use device identifiers and other information to show personalized or non-personalized ads, depending on your consent and platform settings.
You can usually adjust ad tracking preferences in your device settings.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

You can delete your local data by uninstalling the App. If you want to request deletion of data we may hold on our side (for example, support emails), contact us.

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
8. International Users
If you access the App from outside the country where our services are hosted, your information may be transferred across borders and processed in countries that may have different data protection laws than your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or in the law. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top. In some cases we may notify you inside the App.
